There is plenty of research to show that smoking pot impairs lung function. There is plenty of evidence to show that smoking pot can cause mental issues.

Many approved drugs have negative side effects.

There is plenty of issues to show that smoking pot leads to the desire to take other drugs.

Wrong - all that's been shown is that if one is inclined to take drugs, marijuana is one of the first drugs one finds (alcohol being another).

You can point to drugs that have been derived from the marijuana plant

And to the plant itself: "There is conclusive or substantial evidence that cannabis or cannabinoids are effective: For the treatment of chronic pain in adults (cannabis)" (emphasis added)

(maybe three or four?)....but in ALL those cases there are existing drugs that do a much better job.

MUCH better for EVERY patient? I call BS - provide evidence.

And in (I think) most of those drugs the active ingredient isn't THC, but CBD.

So what? Both are found in the marijuana plant.

And Marinol doesn't even use the marijuana plant...it uses a synthetic THC.

Which makes it better how?

the propaganda you push MISLEADS people into believing that marijuana, ESPECIALLY SMOKED marijuana is the cure for just about anything that ails someone.

No, that's you desperately flailing at the straw men you've propped up. I never said nor implied anything of the sort.

Then the pendulum shifted as people realized how dangerous it had become.

ROTFL! Marijuana is and always has been less dangerous than alcohol - which nonetheless remains legal, and rightly so since adults must be free to take on whatever dangers they see fit.

No response to these points?

I’ve said my piece. I’m not here to correct all the propaganda you’ve been brainwashed with.

God wants us to modify our brains but NOT through chemistry.

So you say there's no such thing as a chemical imbalance in the brain that can be corrected with medicine?

Any chemical imbalances, or balances,in the brain can be altered through the use of chemistry. That's an established fact.

Sometimes it seems to be a wise course of action. Schizophrenia for example. Whether or not it's a Godly course of action is something we'll find out one day.

I'm glad to see you backing off your preposterous claim that God is against all correcting of chemical imbalances in the brain with medicine.

But this is where your dishonest position on pot rears in. The vast, vast majority of people who smoke pot do it to get high.

I never said otherwise - you're dishonestly distorting my position as usual. For shame.

My original statement stands. You pulled a standard leftie trick and took out of context a point I was clearly making about smoked pot. So I clarified it just in case you made a mistake. But obviously you did it on purpose judging by your response.

This is my last response. I'm done here. You go right ahead and keep spreading lies for the left so American culture and families can continue down the path of destruction.

You pull a standard leftie trick and blame me for you inability to correctly state your point.

I'm done here.

Oh, yes you are.

“Using POT untunes from God.”

What a lovely fallacy. Still feeling very sorry for you.

“You go right ahead and keep spreading lies for the left so American culture and families can continue down the path of destruction. “

Actually the only one writing falsehoods right now is YOU!

Sorry you cannot comprehend the notion that for many, cannabis is medicine.

I’ll stay joyful & thankful for my health & nothing you say or ever do in your entire existence will ever change that fact! Better yet, if you’d like I can have my beloved wife testify to how cannabis not only saved my life but greatly improved the quality of our marriage as a result. Mental illness is hard on families & marriages. Thanks be to God for my wife’s faithfulness & willingness to see that I have the medicine I need.

Till next time you decide to be an authoritarian prohibitionist, have a blessed day!
