DHS Release Report New North Korean Cyber Attacks In U.S.
UPDATED 10:00 AM PT Sat. June 16, 2018
Despite easing tensions between the U.S. and North Korea, the Department of Homeland Security is still suspicious of North Korea cyber activity.
A malware analysis report released this week by the DHS warned that a new kind of spy ware intended to disable U.S. computer systems, is being used by the North Koreans.
The report, known as hidden cobra is being distributed to reinforce web defenses, and to reduce the exposure to North Koreas cyber attacks.
The report urges users to flag any suspicious online activity related to malware, and to report it to the Homeland Securitys National Cyber Security division, or the FBIs cyber watch.
