Any Law that goes against God’s greater LAW can and should be resisted. Laws promoting abortion for example.
But many laws are made for orderly living. A red light by law means STOP I am sure somewhere someone could dig up some scripture and or theory of why we shouldn’t obey that law, but do not trafic laws make live safer and more orderly, heck seems to me even with these laws there still plenty chaos during rush hour I do not care to see the results of having none. Imigration laws are in the same vien made for safety and order.
Luker you have smarts I have read many of your post and we agree far more than we disagree. I also know that your heart is harden to belief and no arguement no matter how elegant or wise will change that. I wish it was not true, but it is.
As to your question might as well ask why does the Lord allow bad things to happen? I do not fully understand it myself, but I do know that a Being able to create all that is about us must be a mind so great that it is far beyond any man’s ablity to comprehend. Personally knowning my own limitation I certianly don’t have moxie enough to question his ways.
You ask if Jews were just following the law when they loaded themselves on the trains and walked into the ‘showers’, might as well ask why the LORD didn’t merely reach out and crush the Nazi before they could commit their acts. In the end belief has always been a mater of trust and faith. For me my observations of the world about me makes me positives that man and everything around him are far to prefectly alined to be random and thus there is a Creator and why would such a mighty Creator wish harm and destruction on his creation? Especially one that he offered his own son that we may live.
