Michael Cohen suggests he is open to cooperating with federal investigators

President Trump’s fixer and former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, has told those close to him that he is open to cooperating with federal investigators.

A source familiar with the matter told CNN Cohen has grown frustrated over the treatment he’s received from the President — who has gone out of his way to distance himself from his ex-lawyer since the FBI raided his home, Manhattan office and hotel room in April.

Federal agents seized more than a dozen electronic devices and several boxes of documents for their criminal investigation into Cohen’s personal financial dealings, including a $130,000 hush-money payment he made to porn star Stormy Daniels ahead of the presidential election.

I can't believe how many freepers believe the fake news everyday and then go on to bash the President. And his impromptu press conference this morning was brilliant.

Okay, well my freedom isn’t on the line, and I don’t have anything to bargain with, so it seems like your choice of whom to educate was smrtly made.

Good on ya.

Look to me like in all that writing you just did, you forgot the question.

“What was the practical result of the video you watched?”

Try again.

The practical result was it showed a president in full command who is not afraid to dive into a crowd of haters and control them masterfully - to the delight of voters and his base who will turn out in droves in ‘18 and ‘20. He may have even made a few converts today. It also sends a powerful message to Congress and others that he will be the last man standing when all this stuff clears.

If you can’t see that (and you obviously didn’t see it because you somehow think he was busy “whining” during that spectacular bit of theater) we can’t help you.

I see other Never Trumpers have come on board here.

Oh yes, if I am one thing, I’m a Never Trumper /s

And what you just described to me is not a practical result at all.

It’s your opinion of what you saw, and your projection of what you think will happen.

Let me offer you a clue. When you use the word “may”, you aren’t describing an actual practical result.

The practical result was NOTHING.

Nothing happened. Nothing changed. Everything is still exactly as it was.

“Pardon these goys and watch liberal heads explode.”

They might be subject to state law punishments for possible crimes such as state income tax evasion.

This morning, before I had even turned any news on, I was thinking back wondering what other recent Prez has had to face so many viscous attacks, from so many.

I thought about W Bush, and how the media mocked him, lied about things, etc. and I also remembered how W NEVER fought back.

That was SO annoying, to me. He didn’t come across as showing any more or better character, either. To me, he came across as a played coward.

Trump fights. I really respect that about him.

The Federal Elections Commission has default responsibility for federal campaign law violations.

Sessions and Rosenstein have no legal authority to investigate campaign finance on their own or through a special counsel.

The FEC has to ask for DoJ help for Mueller to have authority.

Presidential electors are appointed under state law.

It is not at all clear that their can be a federal campaign violation with respect to a Presidential campaign.

The Supreme Court loves the First Amendment.

The FEC isn’t going to put its very existence and bundle of six months work every two years jobs on the line over what is in my opinion a blackmail payment.

You asked for a practical result. Trump explicitly cited improvements his Administration has enacted, and the resulting effects and successes from those changes. He also cited other changes that will hopefully be forthcoming, and what those changes could mean to the American people. I covered those in my statement. You claimed he was whining. He wasn’t. Maybe you should clean your ears out, and open up that space you’ve got between them.

Two can play at that game: you saw “whining.” I suggest that was totally in your imagination and total projection on your part. I saw a strong, tough leader with a sense of humor who is not afraid to mix it up. People remember things like that when election time rolls around.

"Nothing happened. Nothing changed. Everything is still exactly as it was."

Oh, so you're into instant gratification. Selfish people usually are. Who's whining now?

Are all of the corrupt, slithering swamp snakes that were employed by the government we fund prior to the press conference still employed by the government we fund post press conference?

Are all of the corrupt, slithering swamp snakes that were destroying lives prior to the press conference still destroying lives post press conference?

Yes, yes they are.

The practical result of Donald Trump’s press conference was NOTHING. Everything is as it was. SNAFU.

Interestingly, that guardian of American conservative values - The Guardian - is characterizing Trump’s presser as “whining”.
