Below is what I predicted would be the takeaways from this whitewashed report... Looks like I was pretty close.
1. Shortcomings in following investigative procedures
2. Internal reviews are ongoing to improve the system going forward.
3. FBI leadership is keenly aware of the need for some improvements.
4. A “blue ribbon panel” will be formed within the next year to consider and develop ideas for process improvement.
5. The FBI considers public confidence to be a primary concern.
Except for #4, of course...
