Look.....from start to finish of Trumps run he spoke heavily about where he stood on illegal immigration. You don’t think those planning to do that didn’t up their game to get here ASAP before he shut them out? Of course they did and that’s certainly much to do with the numbers trying to cross. I expected there to be a rush...most did.
Further Trump and Sessions have clearly been working against sanctuary cities so your argument fails in that respect. As you know the mayors and Governors have filed numerous suites granted by crooked Judges.....so our guys press on another way. I’s a fight that is not going away tomorrow.
You should know that when we move against anything anything to enforce or change immigration the push back is going to be fierce and nasty....further we want things to ‘stick’ when they are caught and laws changed. So yes it’s going to take more than just the months given thus far.....even further when any of it has to pass congress to reform the laws.

That's as good an explanation as any. Some people thought that all Trump and his cabinet members would have to do is snap their fingers, and overnight all corrupt politicians would be in Federal prison and all illegal immigrants would be deported. On the latter at least, Sessions has been making steady progress not only at deporting some of the illegals that are here, but on keeping future ones (including those with fraudulent refugee claims) out. It's going slower than I would like to see, but it's still much better than anything we've seen on immigration for the past 20 or 30 years.
That looks like a mighty well fed bunch of “migrants”. I used to think that fleeing persecution caused weight loss.
