Kim Jong-un arrives in Singapore for historic summit with Donald Trump
After its strange flight path from Pyongyang, North Korean leaders Boeing 747 has been seen on the runway at Changi Airport
It is all systems go in Singapore as the country readies itself for the arrival of United States President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un ahead of their highly anticipated summit in the Lion City on Tuesday.
Kim arrives in Lion City
The Boeing 747 believed to be carrying Kim Jong-un has landed in Singapore, sources on the ground said.
Air China flight CA61 touched down at Changi Airport shortly before 2.40pm.
Kim takes no chances on flight to Singapore
The aircraft most probably carrying Kim Jong-un to Singapore for his summit with Donald Trump took a mostly inland route while flying over China, according to a flight tracking service.
North Koreas utmost concern is Kims route, as there have always been big concerns about assassination attempts, according to Lee Yun-keol, a former bodyguard for North Koreas ruling family.
Data from Swedish website Flightradar24 showed Kims flight initially passed over four Chinese provinces Hebei, Henan, Hubei and Hunan and stayed well clear of coastal areas.

Trump-Kim summit will cost about $20 million to host, says PM Lee...It is a cost we are willing to pay and its our contribution to an international endeavour which is in our profound interest, he said, adding that security costs would account for about half of that figure.

You drive on the right hand side of the car on the Left side of the road.

These things are great for any location. They’ll make that in spades with future business and leisure travel there.

I hear that Kim's visit is arranged as a visit by a foreign leader to Singapore to meet its leader. That way, Singapore can pay Kim's stay without breaking any international rules or protocols.

More than 2,500 journalists - 80% from overseas - are expected in Singapore to cover the historic summit between the United States and North Korea on June 12.....This will be the largest media contingent Singapore has ever had to host.

Has IL-62 arrived yet? Kim's own plane. Reports said that it was also heading for Singapore. Took off about an hour after the Air China plane did.

I suppose there are lots of loopholes they can use to get around the otherwise obstacles ordinarily in place.
As I watch this beginning to unfold I just hope they don’t go too far making Kim look like the great leader of the world here, which is what their propaganda folks will do in N..Korea news.

I undertood there were three plans that left the North. Kims sister is suppose to be in one of them.

Kim is only Chairman because his father had the country’s Constitution amended to proclaim his grandfather Eternal President.
Its basically a hereditary family dictatorship in Communist trappings.

Neither leader brought their wives with them.
Notably Ri Sol Ju and Melania Trump aren’t attending this summit.

Yes, it is a little odd. You would think that she should be left behind to put a tap on domestic situation. Reports say that Choe Ryong-hae is now in charge in Pyongyang while Kim is away.

If Kim got offed or died a natural death, it would be arranged to have someone in the family suceed him.
The only other absolute monarchy still extant in the modern world are the Saudis and the Syrian Assad family dictatorship is under severe challenge.
