“I’m not in her district but I don’t think I would vote for Bobby Bright.”

Yes, we should not be voting for RAT turncoats. This seems to be a big thing in the Southern States. It seems that being re-elected takes precedence over any sort of political philosophy. Bright could decide to “switch parties” like others have done after being elected. OTOH, we have an obligation to the President to get rid of RINOs who have openly criticized and/or dissed him. Seems like you have a “Hobson’s Choice” here. Neither of these people should be allowed to serve as a Republican.

This seems to be a big thing in the Southern States.

Because the Republicans were once associated with the North, the Union, and imposed Reconstruction on us.

We in the South are the only Americans to face complete military defeat and occupation of our homelands.

It took a REALLY long time for all who remember and their children to die off. Even so, many grandchildren of the defeated took a defiant view politically. The last of this generation is passing or have already died.

Ronald Reagan was once a democrat, but as he said, the party left him, and that was in the 1950s.

It took another generation in the South to see that, and even so, it was a slow rollover since the 1980s.

I can't condemn politicians older than me for once being democrat, because that's almost all of them.

Bright took far too long and I never would consider voting for him but a NEVERTRUMPER is higher on the list to remove.

If Bright wins, he'll be on probation, so he needs to vote and speak wisely. Otherwise he'll be a one-termer again.

As you said a Hobson choice, but we have to make decide based on what's on the table.
