I read Giuliani’s comments. He did NOT say what is being attributed to him.
If he had, you and others could cite him directly bc the quote be all over the web. Fact.
I said on other threads that I thought he should have been smart enough to avoid the stupid “gotcha” speculation of the media. He needs to stay on point instead of giving these rambling speculative appearances with the enemedia.
Every question should be answered with a question -
Collusion? Was it collusion when the Clinton Foundation received over 100 million dollars from Russian Oligarchs tied to the Uranium 1 deal? Was it collusion when the Clinton campaign and the DNC they controlled paid millions to Christopher Steele for a Russian sourced dossier? Etc etc. Every question posed to him should be answered with offense! If he is going to appear on CNN and MSNBC their viewers need to hear these questions.
Was this collusion Mr. Mayor? Answer - why did Don Jr and Trump associates have to answer questions for many hours when nobody has asked about the lawyers contacts with Glenn Simpson BEFORE and AFTER the Trump tower meeting?
This is what Mr. Mayor needs to do. Less chuckling and laughing out loud and MORE OFFENSE!
It is not about his answers - it is the spin they make out of it. Rudy is smart, but he appears oblivious to their gotcha games and as such, he is too willing to enter into speculative banter on things that are not on the table.
His job is to represent the President and go on the offense. He keeps deviating away from his script.
A good offense would be to put legitimate questions that illustrate the networks lack of curiosity about the collusion of the Clintons to the interviewer in defense of his client. Think of it like the idiots we see interviewed on college campuses where they are told that Trump did something that Obama did and they act with revulsion and then surprise when they are told it was actually Obama. This is effective and would likely make more viewers question everything else the networks are telling them. A sizable majority of our country does not know about the scandals the networks and prior administration covered up. They did not trust her, but few of them know why. This is a role Rudy could play very well because people trust the Mayor, but he keeps going down rabbit holes and appears ill-prepared to me.
