As I said yesterday to the disapproval on some on here - I believe people have the right to live the way they want to and that includes gay people. I am a pro-freedom and pro-diversity. This is what I believe as a conservative and it makes America great.
In the New York Times op-ed, the other side illustrated how they’re for coercion and conformity. If you don’t live and think the way they want, there is no room for you in their America. The American people are tolerant and genrous to all in their midst. Between us and the Left we should have that debate.
And the Constitution wasn’t written to protect folks we like or opinions of which we approve. Political correctness has no place in it. The Mastercake case brought that point home. Every American has a right to equal protecion of the laws, including Christian bakers. Period.

Exactly. The defintion of “Tolerance” has been changed from basically “live and let live” to forced acceptance.
How about people who want to be free to be cannibals, or people who want to be suicide bombers?

Spot on and I think it is high time we re-discover freedom and liberty in our nation. The part that made my head hurt from the editorial was the line:
“We lose when our rights are considered debatable.”
And my right to own a weapon of self-defense of my choosing, ma’am? Why is it that our right to have an inanimate object in our possession for our own peace of mind is and has been “considered debatable”?
My main issue with “progressives” is the hypocrisy and intellectual dishonesty... If I don’t want to do business with sexual or gender weirdos for ANY reason, whether high minded and pure, sincere religious conviction or a baser reason of not wanting to deal with the “yuck” factor, I should have the freedom to bear the economic cost of declining business from a particular source.
That right, along with my right to own a firearm, are certainly not debatable in my book.
Yep. I’m perfectly willing to live and let live with others who would make very different choices from the ones I make so long as they are not directly physically harming others (yes I deliberately defined that very strictly).
Just do not try to use the power of government to take away my choices or to force me to choose what you would choose. I will do the same for you.
That’s it. I want nothing. I ask for nothing. I don’t want to be “protected”. Just leave me alone.
