Here's my core problem with your Sessions' thesis: the attempted coup was an act of war. Treason applies in this case to those not only levying, but aiding and comforting. Anyone in Sessions' position, with his experience and knowledge, must be fully aware of this peril if the deep state fails in its efforts to unseat the president.

In other words, this kerfuffle has far exceeded even the most alarming elements of standard political intrigue. If you agree with that perspective, does Sessions strike you as someone willing to risk it all going to the mats? And not only to the point of endangering his reputation, but also his and his family's safety?

I invite anyone to present their case why the Hussein coup attempt is not an act of war. Under any set of similar circumstances at any point in the history of man & government, heads literally rolled. What makes our 'modern' era so unique that traditional retribution is rendered null?
