POLLS: Populist Support [58%] Surges in Italy, Nationalist Lega Closes Gap on Five-Star

Italy’s populist parties would win an outright majority in parliament if new elections were held, according to the latest polls.

The anti-establishment Five Star Movement (M5S) and nationalist Lega parties’ first attempt to form a coalition fell apart last week when President Sergio Mattarella vetoed their choice of finance minister, Paolo Savona, because of his eurosceptic views — but a populist government appears to be back on the cards now, with the two parties ready to put fresh proposals to the unelected president following polls showing fresh elections could make them even stronger.

Italy President Sergio Mattarella is a democrat. He must go! The Italians voted to kick out the whole “migrant” loving bunch of them!

Make Italy Great Again!

The hoi polloi don't like being colonized by third world savages. Who would've thunk it?

The “hoi polloi” are much more concerned about dictatorial Eurocrats interfering with the results of a free and fair election. Italy’s immigration problems are not the size of those in France nor Germany.

What has them enormously irritated is that the Italian President, who is a EU true believer, is putting EU interests first, and denying the electoral winners the government of their choice.

I personally think has backfired, and the chance of an Italian exit from the EU is a lot more likely than it was a couple of weeks ago.

Italians foolishly believe that they govern themselves. They don’t understand that their *true* masters are found about a thousand miles north of Rome.

Push for another election. Move for impeachment of the President if he tries to thwart the democratically expressed will of the people again.

“The movement in the polls appeared to contradict claims by Germany’s EU Commissioner Gunther Oettinger earlier this week, that the markets would “teach the Italians to vote for the right thing” and reject populism.”

It’s ok to THINK something like the above and even take some type of disguised actions, but to say it outright has to be about the DUMBEST political move one can make.

Clever populists sacrificed a pawn and got back into the game. They have the people behind them, so the pressure was on.

Anyone else ever notice that journalists put on their silly hat when they write about Italian politics? I know it’s convoluted and hard for us to understand, but it’s not THAT funny.

Globalism will be defeated in the 21st century like fascism and communism were defeated in the 20th century.
