I didn’t realize “The Planet of the Apes” were a “race”. Interesting.

That being said...ABC doesn’t need to have an excuse to stop the show. She provided them a great reason to do it, though, and it has nothing to do with free speech. As Rush has been stating today regarding the NFL...you don’t have free speech with your employer.

As Rush has been stating today regarding the NFL...you don’t have free speech with your employer.

I think that an employer that utilizes a government owned asset (airwaves) to create their wealth is an exception to this rule.

If anybody can broadcast on ABC's channels, then there is no censorship of speech using a government owned communication asset.

But since that is not the case, I don't believe ABC has a right to censor anyone's opinion.

When you run a business, someone who works for you should keep their mouth shut so their remarks won’t ruin your brand reputation.

A business cannot and should not take sides in a political controversy. You won’t survive if you offend half your customers.

The NFL learned that lesson with the kneelers. ABC’s swift canning of “Roseanne” in the same line. Its not a free speech issue.

If you can’t avoid embarrassing your boss, well don’t be surprised when he shows you the door.
