House Republicans left town for the Memorial Day recess feeling more optimistic about their chances in the midterm elections, putting a spring in their step as they head toward the heat of the campaign season.
Recent polling and election forecasts have cast doubt on the idea that a “blue wave” is building that will sweep Democrats into office this November.
One recent survey by Reuters found voters preferring a generic Republican candidate to a generic Democrat — the first time this year that the GOP has led on a generic-ballot test, which is considered a key bellwether for elections.

Delusional.
The Left, both the Democrat Party and their fully owned subsidiary the media, started spinning the fairy tale of the blue wave way too early. Since they live and work inside a delusional bubble with two lobes, a Left Coast, and a East Coast, they thought that the rest of the country was in synch with their thinking. We never were, and now that we have seen what they are up to, their scheme is collapsing. We should give credit to those who deserve it: Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Chuckie Schumer, David Hogg, Moonbeam Brown, Maxine Waters and many others. Thank you all. An honorable mention to Hillary Clinton as well.

The reason they started spinning the blue Wave. Rap so early was because after Clinton’s ass kicking the Party faithful become suicidal and the “sure thing mid terms” was meant to calm them down and give them hope.
That’s a good assessment. I wonder how it’s going to turn out for them?
