Sadly, as an Eagle Scout, the Boy Scouts of America are dead to me. My grandsons are now in Trail Life.

Thanks.

I worked for a man once who was a great leader of a family owned company.

When I was asked by people who did not know him (those outside the industry), my reply: “He was an Eagle Scout as a young man and never recovered”.

The highest possible morals, integrity, honesty and concern for his customers and employees. The kind of leadership you simply don’t find today. It was very uncommon back when I worked for him too.

Please thank your grandson’s parents for making the best decision for their boys in Choosing Trail Life USA.

I was a Den Leader, Asst Cubmaster, Asst. Scoutmaster, Troop founder, Scoutmaster, Father of one Eagle and one Life Scout.

We left BSA and joined Trail Life USA January 1, 2014 (The day Trail Life started) and haven’t looked back.

It’s so awesome to be in an organization where Christian values and virtues ties in seamlessly with service and outdoor adventure.

My Life Scout son was the first in our state to earn the Freedom Award which is actually far more difficult to earn than Eagle.

Encourage those boys to stay deeply involved.
