The Boy Scouts will reportedly provide condoms at the upcoming World Scout Jamboree.
The World Organization of Scouting Movement handbook requires the host organization to ensure that condoms are readily and easily accessible for all participants and [International Service Team staff] at a number of locations on the site.
The 2019 World Scout Jamboree will be held in West Virginia from July 21 to Aug. 1. The theme is Unlock a New World.
The World Jamboree is an official World Organization of the Scout Movement event. The Boy Scouts are co-hosting this years program with two other scouting organizations, Scouts Canada and the Scouts Association of Mexico.
Andy Chapman, vice chairperson of the World Scout Committee, said the co-hosts are working to implement requirements previously laid out by the World Organization of the Scout Movement.
The World Scout Jamboree organizing team has worked with the co-host countries to align these requirements, which have been in place for the past two World Scout Jamborees, in a manner that is respectful to local laws and preferences, Mr. Chapman said in a statement.
News of the condom requirement comes months after the Boy Scouts announced it would allow girls to become scouts.
Last year, the scouting organization also changed its policy to permit membership on the basis of gender identity, meaning girls who identified as boys could become scouts.
And in 2015 the Boy Scouts ended its blanket ban on openly gay troop leaders.
John Stemberger, chairman of the board of Trail Life USA, an alternative scouting organization, said it is not clear how far down the rabbit hole the Boy Scouts will continue to fall.

The Buggering Boy Scouts of America. How times have changed.
Sigh.
That word? CHANGE?
Obama forever destroy my feelings toward the word.
Please thank your grandson’s parents for making the best decision for their boys in Choosing Trail Life USA.
I was a Den Leader, Asst Cubmaster, Asst. Scoutmaster, Troop founder, Scoutmaster, Father of one Eagle and one Life Scout.
We left BSA and joined Trail Life USA January 1, 2014 (The day Trail Life started) and haven’t looked back.
It’s so awesome to be in an organization where Christian values and virtues ties in seamlessly with service and outdoor adventure.
My Life Scout son was the first in our state to earn the Freedom Award which is actually far more difficult to earn than Eagle.
Encourage those boys to stay deeply involved.
Bump!
But, I still think the American people are the finest in the world. Especially in the rural communities in the middle of the US.
Yes, it should be resisted. But unfortunately the courts have made that reaction very difficult.
I can give you examples of other good organization that have been similarly attacked. And their destruction as a consequence.
... And not all of the condoms will be used for heterosexual encounters.
To fight back, we need to be elected to the school board and Make Schools Great Again. We can’t say it’s not my job, but we need to get the schools back from the liberal indoctrinators. No more, fight for our kids and America’s future!!
I just do not know what to say, except that Hussein effed this country up....real good.
Good is bad....bad is good...black is white....up is down.
Had BSA’s original cave in to homosexuals been the result of a court decision, I would probably still be involved.
BSA won a SCOTUS decision to determine their own membership standards.
But they got too much in debt to corporate overlords who told them what tune they had to dance to, so dance they did.
Whenever someone says there’s no such thing as the slippery slope, just point them to BSA as Exhibit 1.
The first major cave in took decades for the left to accomplish, now it’s down to weeks between announcements of major changes.
John Stemberger is absolutely correct. Who knows how deep they will go in their cave ins.
Thank you for that perspective.
Much of Corporate America is infected from this. Especially the Multi-Nations flavors.
I spent my life working for family owned privately held companies. My perspective from that view-point has formed my opinions concerning the Globalist elements and the Looney Left.
Yes, the whole world is turned upside down.
If you really want to you can decide to live right side up, but it takes effort.
