You know what? I’ve been to McD’s all over the city and only the young dudes use the kiosks.

Older people and non-whites tend to avoid it...even if the machines are right in front of their faces.

Depending on the business, I prefer the kiosks for ordering. Most low-wage, first-job grunts couldn’t care less about customer service, and I can get more, and quicker, information just by reading.

They may not know how to use the kiosk, or are tired, in a hurry, and just don’t want to deal with it.

People were unsure about ATMs at one time. Anything new takes people time to get used to, and learn how to do new ways of doing things.

I’m probably considered old by many, but I much prefer using the McD’s app rather than sitting in the 20 minute drive thru. Except that McDonald’s app is complete garbage and only works about 10% of the time, but I try, and I’m sure one day they’ll actually get it fixed, Having said that, McDonald’s is generally not my solution for getting fast food.
