I have no dog in the Roundup fight, but Monsanto has gone after small farms for years. They have attempted to sue farmers when their crops contaminated nearby farms. Agriculture is a multi-billion dollar market and they want it all at whatever cost.
Science is great, but not when divorced from good. Ethanol was spawned by Monsanto as wellthe entire market would collapse without their Roundup-ready corn. These companies are also registering genomes to control all productionnot just GMOs, but native species that have been domesticated for centuries as well as newly discovered species that may become profitable in time. They have also been pursuing sterile plant lines so they can completely control the the market. If such a strain went rogue, the devastation could be biblical in scope.
Went rogue?
Sounds scary. A bunch of sterile plants, growing and dying off.
