IG Has NO POWER TO SUBPOENA Former Obama Employees — That’s Why Rosenstein Asked Him to Investigate

Full title: HUGE!! IG Has NO POWER TO SUBPOENA Former Obama Employees — That’s Why Rosenstein Asked Him to Investigate Spying on Trump

On Sunday evening, Justice Department Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein asked Inspector General Horowitz to investigate whether there was “impropriety or political motivation” into the FBI’s infiltration of Trump’s campaign.

This came just hours after President Trump demanded a review of whether Obama’s Deep State FBI did indeed spy on his campaign.

I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes – and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!

You have no idea what Sessions is doing or not doing, and neither do I. You (and I) only know what has been or not been revealed publicly.

We know that Sessions is recused on all matters connected to the campaign and Hillary. That's all of the Deep State matters.

We know that AAG Rod Rosenstein is performing the functions that Sessions is recused from. There is plenty of evidence that shows that.

I'm not sure why you don't know this.

>>We know that Sessions is recused on all matters connected to the campaign and Hillary. That’s all of the Deep State matters.<<

As I understand it, Sessions recused himself from the investigation of Russian collusion in the Trump campaign.

He hasn’t recused himself from other matters, including the FISA investigation, the investigation of Uranium One, or the Clinton Foundation, or any other “Deep State” matters. Essentially Mueller reports to Rosenstein due to the recusal of Sessions, but in all other matters Sessions remains in charge and able to give direction, as he did when he assigned Huber, and later when he directed the IG to look into the FISA court matter, and now into inappropriate counterintelligence operations versus the Trump campaign.

Of course I know this. Go back and re-read what I wrote.

Intelligence Chiefs Testify At Senate Hearing (Full) | NBC News

It's a long video. Go to 46:00.

Is this an indirect criticism of Trump, who appointed Coats? No, he had to appoint someone who could be confirmed by RINOs and Dems. The senate "intelligence" committee members are pretty pathetic.

IG can uncover leads related to wrongdoing of both current and former employees. IG is not allowed to subpoena or question former employees but can subpoena and question current employees and also ask about their knowledge of the wrongdoings of former employees.

If testimony and evidence are obtained against former employees, a criminal referral can be sent by the IG to DOJ.

As I understand it, Sessions recused himself from the investigation of Russian collusion in the Trump campaign.

It was a more extensive recusal.

I know exactly what you wrote. I referenced it in my post to you.

To which I responded appropriately with the following.

Here's what I wrote. What you stated is already known publicly, so I know it - just like I said.

When they get fired they always land on their feet.

Not always. Andrew McCabe doesn’t seem to be doing that well since his forced departure from the Bureau.

[You (and I) only know what has been or not been revealed publicly]

Yes, I’ve considered that’s a possibility. There’s a delicate dance with all the traitors and the mid-terms.

I have seen that most liberals cannot be swayed by facts or truth. I have also seen that some liberals have seen through the leftist tactics and are walking away from the Democrats. Not many but a few are admitting it.

...revealed publicly.

If one wants to hope that anything is possible and that things may be the opposite of what has been "publicly revealed", that's fine.

But imagine the problems an AG would face if he were found to be lying about recusing himself.

Shouldn't we move forward and base our strategies, comments and opinions on what's true, that Jeff Sessions, in a legal memo, and under oath before the Senate, said that he was going to recuse himself, on these campaign and Clinton connected matters?

So you’re saying Trump has very poor judgment, and your goal is to broadcast this message.

*****************
No, you are reading WAY too much into my comment. He may well have wanted to remove the Obama holdovers but for whatever reasons, constraints or other calculated considerations he allowed them to remain which, in my opinion, was a mistake. Trump is very smart and has good judgement, but he’s not infallible.

I simply stated a widely shared view that Trump should have removed the layer of resistance in his new administration by getting rid of the Obamacrats. Your assertion that I am trying to “broadcast” a message that Trump has poor judgement is hyperbolic and ridiculous.

I highly doubt it. Rules and laws only apply to Republicans.

Poor McCabe must be bewildered by not getting the Hillary Treatment. "Some animals are more equal than others."
