Anyone who knows anything about the history of the CIA, OSS and state department knew that was a laff riot long ago. We have meddled in so many elections and supported so many coups that I’ve lost count.

Your are correct - the CIA had whole teams tasked to interfere in elections. The hypocrisy is amazing...... consider what the Obama administration did in their efforts to interfere in the Israeli elections against Bibi!

However, the most frightening thing is that this circus has had real repercussions. It now appears we ratcheted up tensions with Russia (not really our friend, but not necessarily as big an enemy as they are now) based on a fraudulent lie designed to undermine or destroy a duly elected President. The same media that snickered when Obama poo-poo’d the idea that Russia could interfere in our elections suddenly treated this whole charade as the Ten Commandments followed by our lemming politicians and talking heads. Russia is a nuclear power and while they serve their own interests that are not ours, this was a very dangerous game with real repercussions. Another irony, assuming their premise is correct, is that they played right into what they believe Putin’s evil genius plan was to begin with.

This was a fraud from the start, but a fraud with real repercussions. Furthermore, who interferes in elections more with real results - Soros or Russia? That is another thread entirely.
