I’ve read several articles that described the shotgun as a “sawed-off” shotgun. In one article I heard it was a side by side, implying double barrel.
Was it in fact a Remington 870 and that makes me question about the “sawed off” statement in the press coverage.
We have a Winchester pump shotgun that has had the barrel cut off, but it is NOT short. It is open choke. It was my grandfather’s, he did not buy it new.
So, is there something about the shotgun used in Santa Fe, TX that is unusual. If not, why were they not more specific about it.

Revealing that this crime was committed with a benign-looking weapon hurts their whole “we aren’t after your grandpappy’s shotgun, we just want to ban military-style weapons.”
Of course we know they want to ban all guns, but the current focus is on ARs and similar weapons. The fact that someone was able to commit a mass shooting with more basic weapons is a very bad thing for their current approach.

A normal shotgun does not sound scary enough to liberals. Must be sawed off fully automatic glock assault shotgun.
