Pagourtzis was 17 at the time of the crime, he can't get the death penalty under the Supreme Court's 2005 Roper v. Simmons ruling.

He’s 17, last week’s reports said that he’s ineligible for the death penalty.

But as society opens up to voluntary suicide (euthanasia on demand even when you are not at end of life or suffering from a terminal condition), perhaps those in prison for lif sentences will be able to opt for the needle anyhow.

And those drug manufacturers who have no problems with their death drugs being used for euthanasia may still find them being used in prisons after all (they’ve been refusing to bake the cake for death row).
