Today has a lot more “latchkey” kids, unsupervised, with access to online instructions and even “how-to” videos. He could’ve assembled this stuff on his own.
You can see by my responses and questions that I was raised in a different era(terribly repressed, racist sexist, etc, etc.)
Just a completely unrealistic and backward way to live, I admit.(Please, no "re-education camps" for me, Nurse Pratchett, please)
