Those cameras are low resolution and are for only determining whether or not there is a car in the lanes for giving you a green light or turn signal. They are only connected to the box on the corner to control the lights.LOL. not even close. There are sensors in the roads here in Texas anyway. They detect the metal of the vehicle via electrical induction. That is what triggers the lights. This is one reason that, depending upon where one is positioned in the lane, it may not trigger for motorcycles. The cameras are for surveillance. Why else do you put cameras in at intersections in one-redlight towns?

Why else do you put cameras in at intersections in one-redlight towns? They are phasing out the buried in the road sensors. There are still a few around here in town but almost are gone.
