That sounds like something stupid OUR government would do! What are they thinking? To gain good graces? It wouldn’t amount to a hill of beans trying to impress those animals. All it will do is encourage them more. I hear they ran out of tires to burn and wanted Israel to send them more. Sounds like Israel might even accommodate them. This is just plain stupid!

When Israel returned Gaza to the Arabs, Hamas destroyed all the Jewish-developed greenhouses and orchards. Make a lot of sense?

Even worse...AFTER private donations of millions of dollars made the greenhouses completely refurbished.

1. the borders: technically Israel controls its borders with Gaza. Gaza is free to control its own borders with Israel
2. Commerce is not controlled by Israel - Gaza companies are free to trade if they can (and that's a big IF)
3. Electricity - nothing stopping Gaza from setting up wind farms. But they are a tiny strip and unless they build their own electricity generators, they need to import energy
4. Ditto for water - build their own desalination plants or import
5. health-care supplies - the Gazans can import their own
6. To register... they need to register only if they want israeli identity cards

i'll agree, its not complete statehood, but they do have a degree of autonomy

Then in private message. I do support the right of Israel to exist (as I’m sure you do), but I don’t agree with everything they do. For instance, what they do in Syria in many cases is wrong imho
