I’m an attorney, and the SoL cannot be suspended by the dictates of a prosecutor. The SoL can be “tolled” in certain circumstances (such as fraud), but suspended?

You are correct. The SOL cannot be suspended. Even if there was fraud, the DOJ knew the facts related to any alleged “fraud” over 10 years ago. The judge has no authority to suspend the statute of limitations.
