No, I don’t think it’s mean, and I understand the point. I just think it’s trying to hard: “Look how clever I’m being. Tee-hee, look at me being clever!” and therefore, does not work as a rhetorical device.
OK, I’ll take your criticism. I am trying to drive home a point though, not be clever but zoom in on the differences between Israelis and Palestinians and WHY peace cannot be made as long as THEY remain in a, well, “primitive tribal” state.
