I wonder if they did the whipple procedure? Its an old school frankenstein type surgery, but the only one available. They tried it on my Dad but the cancer had spread. They sewed him back up and said 6-8 months. Make it count.
I had an acquaintance who had a Whipple done by convincing the surgeon she was in much better shape than she really was.
She was very delusional and was convinced she was cured and a one in a million survivor - her quality of life afterward was very poor and she never admitted the cancer had recurred until she was dying in a nursing home.
One of the most annoying things is surgeons saying to patients, “We got it all!”
Um, no. You can’t SEE it all.
It depends on whether the tumor was in the head of the pancreas or the tail.
