It IS good thing. And the GOP needs to make it known far and wide. However, it is important to understand that the typical secular (coastal) Jew cares very little about Israel. In fact, they are far more concerned with acceptance into the right (elitist) circles. This is why the secular Jew will always be liberal. They are, and always will be, ‘virtual signaling’ to others in order to be socially accepted. They are embarrassed by Israel and instead focused on being invited to the right cocktail parties. They have no core beliefs. Their beliefs are tied to whatever will earn them acceptance as cultural elites.
Unfortunately, these secular Jews are more afraid of what their non-Jewish peers will think than of what G-d will think. They throw Israel and Jerusalem under the bus without a second thought, because they are concrete thinkers. They live in the here and now, without a thought as to how they will be judged when they pass away. They go with what they can see instead of what they must accept on faith, because they have no faith. Unfortunately, these same folks often ridicule the faith of the faithful. G-d waits patiently for these non-religious Jews to discover what they are missing in not living a religious Jewish life. Hopefully, these secular Jews will wake up and learn to appreciate Israel.
