I guess they could have just sent it back and let them do what they will with it, but I suspect the handling of illicit goods simply goes down a different path.
It could be blind bureaucratic stupidity, but it might also be standard procedure. I don’t know enough about how they do that, especially over there.
It’s funny, though. They could have sold it in Ghaza, or maybe in Egypt. Instead they chose to sneak it into Israel, where they could get a better price. Yet they hate Israel and want to destroy it. So, I weep for good food, not its purveyors in this case.
