What if you got your garden started in the house, that way the seeds couldn’t wash away.
I’m just fine, just on RED ALERT for fire so relaxing is a bit hard, especially as you watch idiots smoking outside or throwing lit smokes out their windows, makes me want to carry a BIG bat.
Monsoons can’t come soon enough, that’s if we even get the rains, we better!
Bubba is much better tho his girlfriend han’t been well, they seem to go back and forth and take care of each other.
Your little neighbor goat sounds so cute, neighbor gave away his three miniatures yesterday as he will be gone most of summer, his wife won’t care for them and we did until they ate most of our backyard shrubbery and hubby said NO more. I’ll miss them, they talked to me as I frequently fed them.
The garden is too big to be starting everything in the house. Somehow hubby got it to 100 feet by 40 feet this year. I should never have agreed for him to get a rototiller that would go on the back of the tractor!
But I need is a big Greenhouse. But those are expensive. My plants tend to do better when started in the ground. Other than tomatoes and peppers, that’s how I do everything. And it is so much easier. No pots, no transplanting, I just have to run to farm supply on Monday and get more seeds :-)
We had thought about getting goats. But we would then have to put up fences because they’ll end up in the garden. Or eating my little baby Orchard. Or my blueberry plants! I haven’t thought of those yet. No, no goats I guess. I hope the Little Billy Goat doesn’t figure out where those are.
I remember worrying about fire in the Sierras. After we left there was a pretty big fire down the hill from us. It’s so sad when that happens. I heard that they told the locals that they had to evacuate, and then it became optional for our area. When they finally contained it.
