"Suspected"Knife Attack
What were the clues that lead the media to call it a "suspected" knife attack?
Knife wounds? Maybe a bloody knife? Perhaps some witnesses who saw a knife?
Political correctness will be the death of us.

What were the clues that lead the media to call it a "suspected" knife attack? When the French gendarmes saw the guy looking like this, they had a "suspicion" it might be a knife attack--but, hey, let's not be too hasty.

This isn’t even political correctness. It’s just bad writing, which is almost as egregious.
