We always say it but we never do it. I’m guilty, too, and am embarrassed. Sadly, we aren’t the people our ancestors were. Using incrementalism, we might have already reached the point of no return. We’ve noticed every slippery slope issue, but a year later something worse happens.
Our vote for Trump was a type of “pitchfork protest”, and maybe that’s what it has to be in the 21st century. If we were to show up in DC with weapons of any kind, we’d be annihilated within an hour’s time. If that happened, who’d be left to raise the children and educate them about history, etc.?
Yup, better approach would be to surround the white house with millions of implacable people in tents. Stay until the people’s potus is returned.
