Japan is having a population crisis. Not enough kids being born. They may have to incorporate the European solution and bring in a bunch of muslims.

Historically, Japanese lived in extended family households. Grandma and grandpa lived with their grown children and became caretakers of their childrens’ children.

That changed at the close of WW II.
The millions of young men they sent to war never came home so the new government in Tokyo built orphanages for the old folks who had no place to live.

My dad's Masonic lodge discovered one of these orphanages and adopted the place and its residents, supplying rice, vegetables and charcoal.

Sorry, Japan is one of the most racist nations on the planet, they won’t be importing anyone.

They will not import non-Japanese. The problem will self-correct over time. Japan has ten times the population density of the US. Over time, if their population shrinks, it will be easier to get housing.

Meanwhile, if their elder-care system breaks down due to more old people than taxpayers, it will drive home to Japanese women that if they don't have children who will care for them, then nobody will care for them as they age.
