During a discussion with host Charles Payne on Fox Business Network, retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney was asked to opine on the criticism faced by Gina Haspel, who was grilled on Wednesday by the Senate Intelligence Committee in her pursuit of confirmation for the top job at the CIA. Having played a role in the CIAs interrogation/torture program during the 2000s, Haspel waffled a bit as Democratic senators pushed her on the morality of the methods, which are no longer in force.
McInerney was riding with Trump on this one: Its very simple to me, Charles. If we have some terrorists and the possibility of five nuclear weapons going off in U.S. cities, I want to use any method that will determine where they are, when its going to happen and how we can nullify them, he said. Im not interested in values. Im interested in saving a million American lives. It is very simple. And that kabuki that went on yesterday on the Senate intel committee by the Democratic members is the [inaudible] set of questions Ive ever heard. And it ought to ensure all our viewers never elect a Democrat again.
Payne noted that McCain himself, a Republican, had declined to endorse Haspel and asked McInerney how lawmakers should evaluate the nominee. Well, she cant use it anymore because weve determined the Congress that its not legal. The fact is, is John McCain it worked on John. Thats why they call him Songbird John, said McInerney, who was appearing on the network as a guest, though he formerly served as a Fox News contributor.

Truth hurts.
It’s too bad the VC didn’t and do us a favor and snuff his ass.
Ouch. That will really leave a mark.
Songbird John
His final epitaph?
The Manchurian Candidate?
Well, he is right. and I’ll add mccaniac is one of the biggest POSs ever elected to anything. He wont be missed by me.
Are you kidding...he was their best asset!
THAT’s gonna leave a mark!!!!
Bet Songbird croaks when he hears it. Wouldn’t that be perfect?
All he'll leave is a legacy of treason.
Perfect and truthful comment. A lot said in few words.
Or kept him along with the other POWs that were left.
” If we have some terrorists and the possibility of five nuclear weapons going off in U.S. cities, I want to use any method that will determine where they are, when its going to happen and how we can nullify them,”
I know a method that would help. Don’t let in anyone from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, or ANY “stan”.
Whoa! McInerney said that!?!
All I got is LOLOL
It was the threat of torture on MCCain that worked.
The Cong knew who his father was and always treated him well on his Hanoi Hilton.
McCain was a songbird no matter
It would. Id enjoy nothing more than having to keep my television turned off this weekend because of all the funeral hype going on.
That has been DISPUTED by some fellow captors, who recall how McCain's arms were broken from his parachute fall, and the VC refused to set them correctly, so they never properly healed. Others said they treated him like a VIPO because of his daddy the Admiral. Are there any POWs who witnessed his being tortured at all?
Yep! He started singing in the hospital before he ever saw the inside of the Hanoi Hilton. There’s video of it.
They better erect a very tall fence around his grave and post an armed guard 24-7 ... Because if I ever get the opportunity, I am going to piss on his grave.
It truly is preposterous how dangerous political correctness is, especially when it come to national defense.
We have gone from FDR’s internment camps to Truman’s dropping bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to Eisenhower’s mass deportations to quibbling over waterboarding.
You cannot win wars by playing patty cake with one arm tied behind your back. The primary purpose of the federal government and our military in wartime is to kill people and destroy enemy targets.
It was sad to watch Gina Haspel have to capitulate to having a “moral compass” yesterday. I wish she had retorted to some of the pious senators about whether they possessed such rectitude.
