I hate being forced to defend an Obama appointee, but if you read the report she never even tried to tell the guy “no”.
It sounds far more likely she messed around, got back to the party and realized her 20 minute absence did not go unnoticed by the other dozen or so rather elite party guests.
Then shame kicked in, and being a true 21st century feminist, she channeled her regret right into a rape accusation.
I mean, if you read the mutually corroborated play by play, there was a pretty long, progressive buildup before she did something she later claims she was “forced” to perform. All the while never stopping, and never telling him she did not want to.
I understand that men can be bad or even just act badly, ranging anywhere from inconsiderate, to rude, to reprehensible and beyond. But don’t women have ANY level of responsibility for their part in sexual behavior? Don’t they need to tell someone that something is not OK when, only a minute ago, what they had been doing up to then HAD been OK?
When did we put the burden of mind-reading on men, and men only?
