You have jumped to an invalid conclusion. What you think you know is just wrong
First of all, any underage male 11 or older is going to know if his scout buddies are queers. The boys will out them. They know. They live with them at school and other places. The fact you don’t know doesn’t mean your son doesn’t know
Secondly although not disallowed by BSA, the sponsoring institution can reject any application considered suspect. The sponsoring institution signs off on every adult scouter, usually based on the recommendation of the Troop committee. The traveling queers are noted in the BSA database and will be rejected when the application is submitted and screened by BSA. These travelers sought out troops with weak leadership .
Thirdly and most importantly, BSA is acutely aware of the way various bad guys operate and have designed a Youth Protection Program that provides two deep leadership. There must be two leaders in contact with scouts at all times, no exceptions.No other youth organization including all sports and church organizations provides the protection as does BSA. .
If your sons join a fairly large well sponsored and well led unit with leadership beyond a single Scoutmaster trying to do it all himself, the danger is near 0.
There is no finer program for training citizenship, skills and leadership than BSA.
