Not so unusual, fire a couple of miles from our home was started by a car that was having automotive trouble, pulled over on shoulder of road, under-carriage hot, started grass on fire.
Fortunately they called 911, cell phones are wonderful, and firefighters got there immediately and kept fire to 16 acres. This was before the winds too, which really helped, that same scenario wouldn’t have been as good if it had happened yesterday or today.
Praying that wind ceases and people don’t do anything crazy, somethings are accidents tho.
We have planes in the air looking for unrestricted campfires, big fine. $1000 for smoking outside building or car, that’s how dry it is right now.
Guess just because I never heard of it doesn’t make it unusual. After hearing first hand from my grandkids in SoCal about the fires there, I pray Arizona stays safe. I guess the monsoon rains don’t come for a few more months, do you get them in your area?
