Welcome to a special late night edition of the White House press pool!
The pool departed the White House for Andrews Air Force Base at about 12:29 am. We are arriving there ahead of President Trump, who is scheduled to leave the White House at 2:00 am. Trump will be greeting the freed hostages arriving from North Korea.

The pool arrived at Andrews Air Force Base at about 1:00 am.
We were briefly taken to the tarmac where the hostages are set to arrive. There is a grandstand set up in front of a massive American flag that is being held up by two fire trucks with extended ladders.
The pool is currently holding in the terminal. —
