Several years ago while getting dressed in my Seattle hotel I was listening to the local news. This expensively dressed woman was whining, “We clothe, feed and house the homeless. Why do we still have a homeless problem?” I stopped and went over to watch the interviewer slap her down. Instead, he sympathized.

Seattle has an entire separate police force to protect the tourists from overly aggressive homeless. As I walked down the street a homeless guy started walking my way. Two green-dressed pedal bikers shot past me towards him and he immediately changed direction. I asked about them at the hotel desk and was told their entire job was keeping the tourists safe from the homeless.

The local cops in my area do a good job keeping the panhandling under control.

Downtown Columbia is a large area and for the most part from what I can tell, the city fuzz has a handle on it.

I live in a suburb of Seattle. Hubby and I will attend Mariners games twice a year. Last year, the underpass we go under had tents and homeless guys sleeping in bags, the length of that overpass. This year, the under-area of the overpass had been fenced off, as had the front areas of several small businesses.

Unfortunately, I believe they may have wandered down the freeway to my town, where a "Homeless" facility has been built, which is a draw. They are living in some overgrown and wooded areas in the town.

“We feed, clothe, and house them...”

Stop feeding seagulls, and they leave.

This, of course, escapes the mush-brained liberals’ ability to realize the obvious.

Either that, or they willfully ignore it.
