Once again you are wrong and ignorant
Every BSA Leader is vetted by the unit sponsoring institution and then by National BSA . Further every two years, every registered leader is required as a condition of being registered to take a rigorous course of training designed to establish policy of adult s and boys and was called Youth Protection training. (I don’t know what the formal name is).
The program is designed such that a unit properly led with adequate leadership will not permit a man on boy condition. A unit that does is marginal and should lose it’s charter
Well, if they’re so interested in protecting the boys there, then why let the predators in, in the first place?

Were you a Cub Scout? I was.
Were you a Boy Scout? I was.
Were you inducted into The Order of The Arrow? I was.
I was a Scout for almost a decade in the 60s and early 70s.
I supported the Scouts throughout the 80s and most of the 90s. At first the changes came subtly. The infiltration was almost imperceptible and leadership resisted many of the changes. Eventually, they collapsed and BSA is unrecognizable.
I will relate an antidote that you can respond to, or not, but if you call me ignorant, you had best have something to back it up (besides, “I don’t know what the formal name is”, because that alone illustrates your ignorance).
I was a counselor at church camp a few years ago. I was in charge of a cabin of boys who spent the week under my supervision. One of the boys missed the first days of camp because he was going camping with the Boy Scouts. It wasn’t just any trip, it was so he could earn his final merit badge in fish & game. I’ve been there, done that, have you?
Chances are you haven’t - at least recently. When this lad showed up in church camp he was traumatized. I had no clue why he was in tears until we broke off from the group and had a heart-to-heart. He had spent the previous year looking forward to that camping trip and earning that merit badge which required he not only catch a fish, but clean it and cook it. He caught his fish, and then his scout-master made him release it with all the whiny Eco-friendly baggage attached. No merit-badge, a traumatic guilt-trip about “murdering” a fish and he missed two-days of church camp. His tears were heart-breaking and he felt betrayed and confused.
I tried to intervene with the troop on the kid’s behalf and was told to, “mind my own business”. I later played a role in leading that kid to Christ and helped Baptize him. He eventually quit the Scouts that he had loved for years. As you said, the oath remains, but it’s just a matter of time before they drop God altogether as part of that oath. Just as they now define being “morally straight,” as being “ethical” and adding that a “scout’s sexuality is irrelevant.”
You sir, are misinformed in your defense of this organization that I was a part of and a long-time supporter. You’re name-calling is an over-reaction to personal opinions, and not in keeping with the rules of this forum.
