Comey has a personality disorder. He’s a narcissist with a Messiah Complex. That’s why he believes the rules don’t apply to him. He’s on a special mission.
Personality disorders are of long standing and pretty much set in cement by age 18. Unlike other forms of mental illness, they’re virtually untreatable. No one will ever convince someone like Comey that he needs psychological help. If you think he has a problem, he sees that as a reflection of your ignorance.
The thing with Coney is that he really believes his own crap. In his mind, he is the lone hero of the FBI, persecuted by the nefarious Trump who took away his major source of Narcissitic Supply. To a narcissist, that supply is like crack to an addict.
