Has to be a showstopper when lava just starts squirting up in your neighborhood.

Been geologist warnings of lava flow underneath this area for a day or so. Still, having your street crack open and the lava come busting loose has to be a Hollywierd image.

For all the Hawaii haters sure to pile on, remember the vote here was not totally for The Beast. On West Hawaii, 40% voted for Trump, much to the rage of liberals. Dunno how different that was for California.

It would seem building a home on the side of a volcano is like tap dancing on a land mine. But I live close to Yellowstone and I feel bad for the folks who lost their homes. We all roll the dice and sometime it comes up snake eyes. The caldera under Yellowstone could wake up anytime. You choose then jump in and take your chances.

Leilani Estates is a gorgeous, rural area. We own property up the road in Hawaiian Paradise Park.

true in most states; geographically, the entire nation voted for Trump except for very small dense urban areas ...

We have two friends in Hawaii that we cannot get hold of.
One lives in Hilo and he is our worst worry right now.

Was Hilo evacuated?

Is there anyone we can call to find out if he’s in a evacuation place?

Really freaking out.

Don’t know if something happened or maybe the phone service is messed up.
