I have profound admiration for any Black American who breaks the chains of the left.
It earns them approbation, not only from the left, but, often from their own friends and family.
It is a VERY courageous thing to do, and even if I don’t agree with the person on other issues, I totally respect the person for his courage.
It’s actually quite like Communists that leave communism become anti-communist and are despised by their former comrades for it. Whittaker Chambers comes to mind.
