Cohen had Stormy’s signature on the NDA but not Trump. Trump was very likely never told about the payment. If he knew anything, Cohen would have said “I took care of it.” I doubt he knew. Unless it is major, he doesn’t have time for nonsense. Attorneys submit their expense reports, and Trump’s accountants reimburse their expenses.
Accountants just don't pay invoices. And if they do, then it must be routine.
