Why would they be po’d at their own puppet?
FWIW, I have a very bad feeling about this...
Unlike wee barry, Trump didn't send Kim plane loads of dollars, nor anything else.
“FWIW, I have a very bad feeling about this...”
I was thinking that, but it’s nagging at me less.
China doesn’t want that country to be “free” ... they want a buffer from S. Korea.
I expect North Korea to adopt China’s economic model and internet firewall ... basically become another province of China w/o any of the formalities involved with that. That will quiet them down for the foreseeable future.
Long term, yeah, it’ll be bad that China is virtually butted right up against S. Korea if SHTF ... but I think the deal in place is going to be a pretty solid one given all of the players/situations involved.
Don’t stress at this point....this has been planned for months so let it take this early course as we see it playing out...there’s nothing being done China isn’t well aware of and has a role in because China wants peace in the Koreas while still retaining control there in the North.. Kim will only be a figurehead....which frankly that’s all he is right now.
“FWIW, I have a very bad feeling about this...”
Why? IF TRUE it’s a major win. Only a loss IF we made some guarantees in advance of the negotiations.
Why would they be pod at their own puppet?

I do not think they are mad at Kim Jung, I think this is part of a trade deal
