Breitbart News:
Earth in Greatest Two-Year Cooling Event in a Century ShockOur planet has just experienced the most extreme two-year cooling event in a century. But where have you seen this reported anywhere in the mainstream media? The 2016-18 Big Chill was composed of two Little Chills, the biggest five month drop ever (February to June 2016) and the fourth biggest (February to June 2017). A similar event from February to June 2018 would bring global average temperatures below the 1980s average. February 2018 was colder than February 1998. To put this temperature drop in context, consider that this is enough to offset by more than half the entirety of the global warming the planet has experienced since the end of the 19th century.

Definitely not. The fastest warming portion of the planet is the Arctic and that's where the extreme cold has to come from. There are indeed fewer record lows over time, although Michigan and Illinois (I think) both set all-time state-wide record lows for the month of April. But if this cold pattern had happened 30 or 40 years ago, there would have been more record lows.
Yes, that's been known to happen...
I grew up in the Finger Lakes region of New York. We were under a mile of ice only 15,000 years ago which isn't that long ago when you think about it.
There is such a thing as MAN MADE LOCAL WEATHER change. Regional climate is made up of local weather.
We DO have an effect, although it is minimal, and is balanced out by nature in the long run.
The biggest problem we have in discussing this subject is the terminology.
Climate change, Anthropomorphic climate change, Global Warming, etc.
They are used interchangeably, and yet they are completely separate issues.
I think i agree as long as you dont want to affect my life.
What is it they say ? All politics is local.... and so is the weather.
