I was asleep in bed, inches from the window, one morning a few months ago when a noise woke me. I looked through the blind and a young (drugged out) Hispanic man was trying to force open my window with a screwdriver. He ran off.

You’re lucky that he didn’t return the following night. Assuming you don’t have a gun, how do you plan to protect your life if/when the same or another thug doesn’t run off, but instead actually does break in?
