Mongolia and Singapore are the final two sites under consideration for the upcoming summit between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, two administrative sources told CBS News' Major Garrett. Mr. Trump told reporters Friday that the location had been narrowed down to two spots.

"I will be meeting with Kim Jong Un in the coming weeks, we look forward to that," Mr. Trump said during a news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. "We're down to two countries as to a site, and we'll let you know what that site is."

Mr. Trump declined to say whether he has met with Kim directly. But he did say they have a "good working relationship."

"I don't want to comment on that but we have a very good working relationship," Mr. Trump said. "We're setting up a meeting. Things have changed very radically from a few months ago. You know the name calling and a lot of other things. We get a kick every once in a while out of the fact that I'll be watching people that failed so badly over the last 25 years explaining to me how to make a deal with North Korea, I get a big, big kick out of that.

The North Korean leader and South Korean President Moon Jae-in held a historic meeting Friday, with Kim becoming the first member of his family to cross the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) since the Korean War armistice in 1953.

I've been having some fun doing travel planning for President Trump. Ulaan Baatar looks like the place he and Kim would be meeting. Mongolia being nearly next door to North Koerea, the train ride would be pretty easy for Kim. Ulaan Baatar does have an international airport. Here's the skinny on the place:

Note how it's listed on a website called, "lonely planet.com." Be elected President, and you really get to see the world.

Cool. I’d like to see the proceedings happen in a large Yurt flanked by Mongolian horseman.

“No one in the State Dept. wants to travel to Mongolia”

Exactly why it should be held there. Then weed out the whiners afterwards.

Trump could reprise John Wayne’s role as Genghis Khan in the movie The Conqueror. Arguably Wayne’s worst performance ever but Trump has the nads to pull it off.

>> Mongolia would be a good choice <<

Yeah, sure, like they wouldn’t know how to bug all the hotel rooms of the US delegation, plus bug the meeting room.

Either one will present China with room before hand

Oh, come on.

>> hasn’t Mongolia always been sort of the Switzerland of Asia? <<

Not at all. It was almost 100% controlled by Soviet puppetmasters during the Lenin, Stalin and Khurshchev eras.
