In 2016 people were denied the right to gather to discuss political issues IF they were conservatives. McConnell could have changed the filibuster rules on the first day of this session. Instead, he lets the Senate use 30 hours of “debate” for each of Trump’s nominees. The day that the Dems have 51 in the Senate, they will change those rules and they will say something that blames Republicans for the necessity of the rule change. Our Constitution says nothing about 60 votes to pass things in the Senate.

It needs to be said....60 votes in the Senate is not written in concrete. We just need a majority leader with the guts to shake things up.
Nothing would surprise me anymore. Just look at what our own government is doing to president Trump. I can’t trust a government who will break any law in order to do the bidding of one political party. That’s a serious problem.

Justice Gorsuch returned the status quo. The left fears Ginsberg dieing, Sotomayor medically retiring, and/or Kennedy retiring leading to a 5/4, 6/3 or even 7/2 conservative court. That is a big reason why they are all in on overthrowing the government.
